This version was released publicly on 5th February, 2025.
For obvious reasons this has been kept from being shared thinking in the longevity of the program since this could mean it would be patched much faster due to the nature of easy sharing in reddit vs hard-to-get in private forums…
At the same time, this caused various versions to appear, some working, some not and others straight malware with none being truly from the original Creator.
Therefore, current versions going forward are from the efforts of individuals or groups who want to keep the program alive and safe for a long as possible. While there might be other versions around we only give support to the one developed here (in case other collabs happen for the greater good, we will be transparent about it).

As this version is a significant upgrade, guides will have to be updated; please give us time to do this.
With Freso going free for all tiers and XD having no further development, it felt like it was time to drop support for them as they were the only two “supported” apps which required RunAsTI. Use previous versions of GenP if you need to patch “Adobe UWP” apps. As a result of this change GenP now only has 1 VirusTotal result, instead of 30.
Pop-up blocking has switched from using the Windows Firewall to adding currently known domains directly to the hosts file. Resolving IPs and blocking them in the firewall is not ideal for multiple reasons — blocking in the hosts file is more efficient and effective. If a previous GenP-related firewall rule exists in your Outgoing Rules it is recommended to remove it. The default hosts list URL can be found in the options tab and can be changed if needed. Clearing the URL and saving it will restore the default URL in case you ever accidentally edit it.
In addition to the firewall -> hosts change, a command line flag (AdobeGenP.exe -popup) has been added so scheduled tasks can be used to auto-update the blocking in hosts at regular intervals if desired. We will go into more detail about this feature later, it is off by default so we are not accused of modifying your hosts file without consent.
Previously, some apps would break if they were updated through Creative Cloud while already being patched. This is now fixed when Creative Cloud is re-patched with v3.5.0.
All apps are now supported again. If apps still crash for you when you patch them with GenP 3.5.0, uninstall the app through Creative Cloud, reinstall it, then try again.

New Features
1) Options Menu, always search/patch Creative Cloud is now the default, files are now checked with MD5 Checksum and GenP will now only search Adobe related folders.
2) Adobe Genuine Services Removal, a single click button to delete all “AGS” files, and folders (which should prevent the majority of unlicensed popups)
3) Single-Click Firewall, enable and disable firewall block rules with a single click, or restore to the default if you need a fresh start.
4) Edit Hosts, a single click button to edit the hosts file, or restore it if you’ve made a mistake.
Bug Fixes
1) NSudo has been replaced with RunAsTI, GenP will no longer ask you a “Yes or No” question at start-up.
Instead, if you need to patch specific apps you can press “RunAsTI” in the bottom right of the app
This elevates GenP to a “Trusted Installer”, only press this if you need to patch XD, Fresco or UXP Dev Tools.
2) InCopy and InDesign will now work without needing to untick a box (Authentication Failure error)
Known Issues:
1) If you previously patched InCopy or InDesign with GenP 3.4.1.4, it irreparably damaged the apps files, they must be re-installed before patching.**
2) Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder 25.1 work, but they must all be reinstalled for the same reason as above.
3) Acrobat may occasionally need to be reinstalled for a similar reason, specifically if you notice a constant “Distiller” error popup message appearing on the desktop.
If having issues its recommended a clean removal and install of both CC and or Apps, everything should be working within reasonable terms.
- Issues related to Unlicensed its related to updating Host Lines via GenP “PopUp” button or manual replacement.

- If neither those work, a clean install might be worth trying
Be aware there will be more micro-updates to make sure everything gets working properly. Always block Adobe application via FIREWALL
This patch works on latest Adobe products released and tested after 5th February, 2025.
